How to Find and Manage Your EDIUS 7 Serial Number
EDIUS 7 is a powerful video editing software that requires a serial number to use. If you have lost or forgotten your serial number, or if you want to move your license to another computer, you will need to use the GV LicenseManager tool. Here are some tips on how to find and manage your EDIUS 7 serial number.
Finding Your Serial Number
If you have the product package of EDIUS 7, you can find the serial number on a sticker that is pasted on it. The serial number consists of 6 and 16 digits. Please note that the serial number cannot be reissued, so keep it securely.
If you have already installed and activated EDIUS 7 on your computer, you can find the serial number by launching EDIUS and clicking [Help] â [Serial number registration]. You will see a screen that shows your serial number and registration status.
If you have not installed EDIUS 7 yet, you can use the TRIAL mode for 31 days without a serial number. To do this, double-click the [EDIUS] icon on the desktop and follow the on-screen instructions. You can also click [Start] â [All Programs] â [Grass Valley] â [Serial number registration] to enter your serial number later.
Moving Your License
If you want to move your EDIUS 7 license from one computer to another, you will need to deactivate it on the source computer and activate it on the destination computer. You can do this in two ways: online or offline.
To move your license online, you will need an internet connection on both computers. First, start up GV LicenseManager on the source computer by clicking [Start] â [All Programs] â [Grass Valley] â [GV LicenseManager]. Select the products to deactivate and click [Online deactivation]. This will return your licenses to the activation server. Then, start up EDIUS on the destination computer and enter your serial number when prompted. This will activate your licenses on the new computer.
To move your license offline, you will need a USB flash drive or another removable media. First, start up GV LicenseManager on the source computer and select the products to deactivate. Click [Offline Deactivation Create ID File] and save the ID file to your removable media. Then, go to https://wwwapps.grassvalley.com/activation/deactivate.aspx on another computer with internet access and upload your ID file. You will receive a deactivation file that you need to save to your removable media. Next, start up GV LicenseManager on the destination computer and enter your serial number. Click [Offline Activation Create ID File] and save the ID file to your removable media. Then, go to https://wwwapps.grassvalley.com/activation/activate.aspx on another computer with internet access and upload your ID file. You will receive an activation file that you need to save to your removable media. Finally, start up GV LicenseManager on the destination computer and click [Offline Activation Register Activation File]. Select the activation file from your removable media and click [Open]. This will activate your licenses on the new computer.
Repairing Your License
If you encounter any problems with your EDIUS 7 license, such as expiration or corruption, you can try to repair it using GV LicenseManager. You can do this in two ways: online or offline.
To repair your license online, you will need an internet connection on your computer. Start up GV LicenseManager and select the products to repair. Click [Online Repair] and follow the instructions. This will connect to the activation server and repair your licenses.
